As many of you may know, we recently had a loss to our school and community. On Monday morning, Senior, Devin Sovinsky lost his young life. We have shared our deepest condolences and support to the family. Links are included below to see obituary, funeral arrangements, and GoFund Me to support the family during this difficult time. We understand that losses like this can be difficult for our students to process. We will have a school counselor available today and tomorrow for any students who need to talk through their grief. Students may come and visit from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and tomorrow. They may also call the Main Office at 304-243-0400 and ask for the counselor. Our Advanced Placement (AP) Test scores are being celebrated tonight at the OCS Board of Education meeting. 217 Wheeling Park students took 279 AP exams and had a 74% passage rate! HALF of our courses' average scores were higher than the global average! Special shout out to the 8 courses and teachers that had 100% passage rate: Biology - J. Chacalos Calc BC - S. Ohio County Archery, Bass Pro Shops, and Cabela’s will be hosting an Outdoor Adventure Camp for 4-12th grade students in July! Registration is currently OPEN with a limit of ONLY 60 campers. Details on how to register are included on the attached photo.
