Mental Health Resources
At Wheeling Park High School, our School Counseling Department is committed to supporting the academic, career, social, and emotional well-being of every student. We recognize that students are most successful when they feel safe, supported, and connected, which is why we provide a comprehensive school counseling program designed to meet the diverse needs of our school community.
In addition to individualized counseling services, students have access to a wide variety of mental health resources, prevention programs, and community partnerships that promote resilience, healthy decision-making, and overall wellness. Our counselors collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to ensure students receive the support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
As part of our commitment to student safety and well-being, Wheeling Park High School provides all state-mandated prevention and awareness trainings, including topics such as suicide prevention, substance use prevention, child abuse awareness, and other required wellness initiatives. Through these educational opportunities and ongoing support services, we strive to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to navigate challenges, build healthy relationships, and prepare for success beyond high school.
