Alumni Band Information:
Dates: October 15 & 16, 2026
Performance: Thursday, Oct 15th Homecoming Parade (Optional) and Friday, Oct 16th Post Game show at Homecoming Football Game
Rehearsal: Friday, Oct 16th at 4pm at Wheeling Island Stadium
Information:
This year is WPHS' 50th Anniversary and there will be a few changes to the schedule from previous years.
Dates:
Thursday, October 15th: WPHS Homecoming Parade in Downtown Wheeling. You will march alongside current WPHS Band members and 8th Grade Middle School Band students. The parade is a short loop through Downtown Wheeling that ends at Heritage Port for the Homecoming Pep Rally. You are welcome to stay for the pep rally or head over to WesBanco Arena for the Alumni gathering.
Friday, October 16th: It's Game Day and a quick rehearsal. You will gather at Wheeling Island Stadium at 4pm and rehearse (just like the old days) for our performance. Once the rehearsal is over you are free to attend the Alumni Tailgate in the casino parking lot. Then return at game time to cheer on the current band at pregame, play in the stands for the duration of the game, and then perform the Alumni show at post game right before the fireworks display.
Fee: There will be a $30 fee to participate. That fee will cover the cost of the performance t-shirt as well as the cost of maintaining the instruments we are providing alumni members for the performance.
